Cartagena, Colombia
In July, I had the pleasure of going to Colombia with Condé Nast Traveler to document their Women Who Travel trip, which was hosted and organized by El Camino Travel. Our first stop was the Caribbean port city of Cartagena de Indias. We stayed at none other than Tcherassi Hotel, a luxurious boutique hotel created by one of the leading figures in fashion, Silvia Tcherassi. Exploring the city and surrounding areas, we walked the colorful streets, visited a mud volcano outside of the city, and lounged on a small lagoon island. From street food to multi-course gastronomical meals, fresh young coconuts to craft cocktails, the diversity of Colombia’s culinary scene, especially in Cartagena, blew me away.
